Monique J. Simmons, also known as MoLove, is a multifaceted artist, life coach, motivational speaker, author, and entrepreneur whose creativity knows no bounds. Renowned for her diverse artistic talents, she has made her mark in everything from visual arts to fashion design, where her handcrafted jewelry and accessories add a unique flair to her collections.
From a young age, MoLove's passion for drawing and creativity was undeniable. She adorned everything around her with artistic expressions, eventually leading her into the world of fashion design. Her artistry extended into the realm of poetry, where she made her presence felt in New York City's spoken word scene, performing under the stage name "MoLove the Gemini." Her poetry also appeared on the silver screen in the film Desperate for Love.

MoLove's journey has always intertwined her passion for art with her love for education and children. As an enthusiastic educator, she is deeply committed to empowering young minds, ensuring that every child can learn, thrive, and overcome life’s challenges. She is currently developing a collection of children's books that address coping mechanisms and navigate difficult conversations.
Her work in education is further supported by her deep expertise in play therapy, STEAM learning, and art therapy. MoLove’s educational philosophy integrates STEAM with therapeutic practices, believing in the transformative power of creative exploration in both cognitive and emotional development. She has specialized experience working with children with special needs and trauma, bringing art therapy and play therapy into learning environments to foster healing and growth.
Educational Achievements and Certifications
Born Monique Jeanelle Simmons in Brooklyn, New York, on June 14, 1983, MoLove’s journey has been marked by perseverance and a commitment to inspire others. She earned her bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies from Medgar Evers College, where she was recognized for her community service, even receiving accolades from the Governor of New York City during her commencement. She continued her educational path with a Master of Science in Strategic Communication, which strengthened her expertise in building programs and strategies for effective learning and communication.
Currently pursuing a Doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in Educational Psychology, MoLove is certified as Art Therapy and Play Therapy practitioner. Her certifications also includes STEAM Integrated Art Curriculum design learning, equipping her with the knowledge to incorporate cultural and historical perspectives in her educational approach, alongside the integration of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. She is additionally trained in Safe space training, At-risk for elementary school, Suicide prevention and postvention.
